Wolves have been successfully reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park. There are now several packs resident in Yellowstone and they are best spotted at dusk and at dawn. Lamar Valley is one of the best places in the Park to go wolf spotting.

We have seen one, probably a mile or so away in a valley through binoculars but that was our only sighting. There is however a Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone should you want to see a wolf up close.

I don’t have a picture of a Yellowstone Wolf so the picture is of some bison hanging out in the Lamar Valley sans wolf.
