About Inspire Our Trip
Inspire Our Trip is a resource for those that want to travel independently or need holiday inspiration but don’t have either the time or inclination to spend hours poring over guidebooks, websites and advice forums researching the perfect trip.
The information on our site is either from our own direct experience of travelling independently or from research we have done to inform our own trips. We don’t provide the detail you will find in a guidebook or the conflicting information found on an advice forum. Indeed, we’re not trying to cover everything but instead provide you with our selection of the best bits to help save you precious time.
We have started with the US as we have particular knowledge of independent travel here. Louise lived in the US for 4 years and travelled extensively. Anna has a number of close friends living in the US and has holidayed there many times, along with her children.
Over time we plan to expand the site, and in addition to many more destinations within the USA, our future plans include advice and inspiration for trips to Europe, South-East Asia, Australia and who knows where else! Our intention is to make the most of our extensive independent travel experience, spanning over 2 decades, and in turn help you plan a few trips of your own.
We hope you enjoy visiting Inspire Our Trip. If you would like to get in touch with us, we’d love to hear from you. You can contact us via twitter or facebook or you can e-mail us at email@example.com. For press releases please click here.
Why create Inspire Our Trip?
Inspire Our Trip was founded by Louise and Anna, who met at university in Liverpool and have been friends ever since (quite a long time). It was born out of a love of travel and their enjoyment in helping friends and family plan great trips, combined with an increasing frustration at the time and effort required to research a fabulous holiday.
How it happened
We both have a genuine love of travelling and have spent many an hour researching trips but as our lives became busier and the volume of information on the internet grew, we both became increasingly frustrated at the amount of time it took to research a trip and the lack of reliable, structured information available to inform our decisions. Both of us ended compromising, taking run-of-the-mill package holidays that failed to fulfill our ‘explore and discover’ ethos, all because we ran out of time and had to settle for convenience. We realised we wanted a site we could rely on to source information and cut through the chatter.
A career break happened to coincide for us both and over several glasses of wine the idea for pooling the research we had done to inform our own travels and the advice we had given others over the years into a concise, simple format started to emerge. The result is Inspire Our Trip. It has been a real labour of love, we really hope that it will help you to spend more time enjoying your holiday than planning it.
We’d love to hear from you, send us your thoughts, ideas and comments to firstname.lastname@example.org

How we make money
Firstly, we provide high quality advice for independent travellers and those looking for holiday inspiration as described in our editorial code, the companies we recommend cannot pay us for our reviews.
On many of the pages of Inspire Our Trip you will see links to various companies who provide the services or goods we have referenced in the text. These links are affiliate links. If you click on them you will be taken to the website of the firm concerned. The firms have not paid to be on our site but we do get a very small referral fee every time you click through to their site and complete a transaction. You will not pay any extra for this, the price you pay will be the same as if you had gone directly to the site concerned. The firms are paying our referral fee out of their marketing budget.
These small fees allow us to keep the majority of the content on the website free of charge. Otherwise we would have to charge a subscription fee as we have to earn enough to cover the running costs of the site.
We only put up affiliate links with those companies we believe are reputable and offer a good service but you must ensure the products or services you buy are suitable for your individual circumstances.
We hope this makes sense. If you have any queries or would like to ask us a question please e-mail us at email@example.com.
