We found the most bears of all of our travels at Sequoia National Park in California. We saw several black bears in a 3 day trip and even got to see a mother bear and her two cubs playing in the grass. Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Yosemite also give good chances of spotting a bear in the wild. You are more likely to see an American Black Bear than a Grizzly Bear although we did see a Grizzly at a distance in Yellowstone. Otherwise head to Alaska where you have a great chance of seeing black bears, grizzlies and polar bears.
