Yosemite Falls

Yosemite Falls

No trip to Yosemite would be complete without going to see the Yosemite Falls. These are the highest in North America at 2,425ft and plummet down the valley wall in three stages. You can access the lower falls from a short easy trail near Yosemite Lodge.

If you are up for a very challenging hike you can walk up to the upper falls. This is a 7.2 mile round trip with a 2,700ft height gain – it is not a hike for the inexperienced or the unfit! For comparison purposes, Kinder Scout, the highest point in England is a mere 2,087ft above sea level and only about a 1,000ft height gain to walk to the summit.
