Best Grand Canyon Package Holidays

If you are looking for an escorted tour, you can’t do better than Exodus Travels. They have a number of options for visiting the Grand Canyon.

Exodus Grand canyon raftingIf you want the white water trip of a lifetime, check out their 8 day Grand Canyon Rafting tour. This starts at Lees Ferry and follows the Colorado River all the way through to Lake Mead where you end your tour with a jet boat ride. You will be camping out under the stars as you travel through the canyon and will have the opportunity to look for wildlife and explore some of the side canyons. The Exodus website. has loads more information.

If rafting just isn’t you, Exodus have several other options to visit the Grand canyon and keep your feet dry. Firstly, their Western Explorer is a brilliant 15 day tour of the American southwest. It starts in Yosemite and goes on to Death Valley, Zion, and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon and finishes in Vegas. You never know, if you are luck in Vegas you may win back the cost of your trip.

If you are travelling with a family, check out the Western Discovery – Family Holiday. This is a 14 day trip, with a very similar itinerary to the Western Explorer tour, missing out Death valley and with less time in Vegas. It is packed with family friendly activities, including horse riding, tubing and cycling, with a minimum age of 8.

The National Parks Walk is a 12 day hiking tour of several of the national parks, including the Grand Canyon as well as Zion, Bryce, Arches and Canyonlands national parks and Monument Valley. This trip covers some of my favourite hiking places in the world and you will get to see some truly amazing landscapes.

Finally, their National Park Lodges tour gives the opportunity to explore several of the US National Parks including the Grand Canyon, on an 8 night tour staying in various park lodges.

Kuoni are another great option for escorted trips to the Grand Canyon. Their The Very Best Of California And The Canyonlands tour is a mega 21 day tour, starting in Vegas and taking in Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon National Parks, San Diego, L.A., Monterey, Yosemite and ending in San Francisco. This is a fantastic, fully escorted itinerary.

They also offer a 14 day The West tour. This starts in L.A. and takes in the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce National Park, Vegas, Yosemite National Park and San Francisco.

In addition to this, Kuoni will arrange self-drive tours on a package basis. Check out their suggested itinerary for their tour of The West which includes visits to L.A., Palm Springs, the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce National Park, Vegas, Yosemite and San Francisco. This is just a suggested itinerary, and Kuoni will happily tailor make a package for you. You can visit the website for more information.

Hayes and Jarvis will also arrange self-drive package holidays that include a trip to Grand Canyon. Their Classic West tour includes the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Death Valley and Yosemite. Like Kuoni, Hayes and Jarvis will alter or tailor make an itinerary for you if you give them a call.

Finally, Hayes and Jarvis will arrange a Motor Home or RV Holiday for you. Give them a call to discuss your requirements.

Our final recommendation for a package tour to the Grand Canyon is from JustYou. If you intend on travelling alone, but would rather be part of a group, JustYou are a great option. They are single traveller specialists and do a mammoth 17 day tour of National Parks, Mount Rushmore and Little Big Horn. In addition to the Grand Canyon, this tour goes to Mount Rushmore, Badlands National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Arches National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, oh, and Vegas. Our main piece of advice is, buy a bigger memory card for your camera.
