Rockefeller Center, NYC

Remember Marilyn Monroe catching a breeze over the subway vent in summertime New York?  It’s hot and humid in the city over the summer months but that doesn’t stop the visitors coming and if you’re tied by school holidays you may have no choice.  Despite the heat, summer can be a great time to visit with programmes of free events like SummerStage across the city and Shakespeare in Central Park as well as all the usual sights and attractions.   In Winter the weather cools to hover around 0°C but of course the highlights of Christmas shopping in Manhattan and the thrill of spending New Year’s Eve in New York mean that few are put off by the cold weather.  Spring and Autumn are probably the best time to visit NYC however, when you can enjoy generally warm bright sunny days but without the extremes of heat or cold.
