Recently I took my daughter on a shopping trip to John Lewis. She’s only 5, so as you can imagine the toy department is great, but the fabric department doesn’t hold quite the same wow factor for her. Fortunately, on this occasion, the technology department (which happens to be next door,) were playing the John Lewis Christmas advert featuring the festive friendship between a bear and a hare, on loop. My daughter was absolutely captivated, totally oblivious to shoppers having to walk around her as she stood, entranced in the middle of an aisle. Luckily for me, John Lewis have now released a free interactive e-book of The Bear & the Hare, narrated by the lovely Lauren Laverne, perfect for those hours we’ll be spending in the car this Christmas. For those who prefer a traditional book, those nice folks at John Lewis have one of those too!
