Yosemite Top 10

Marvel at the water cascading down Yosemite Falls, the highest waterfall in North America.

Challenge yourself to a good walk and hike to the top of Vernal and Nevada Falls and watch the water plummet down beneath you.

Amble around the lovely Mirror Lake with all 4,788 feet of Half Dome towering above you.

Hire a bike and head out with a picnic to cycle the Valley floor and enjoy the jaw dropping scenery.

Go for a meal or a drink at the Ahwahnee Hotel and enjoy its unique architecture and setting.

Drive out to Tunnel View and get an amazing view of the Valley framed by Cathedral Rocks and El Capitan with waterfalls galore.

Follow the road out to Glacier Point. Take a while to sit at the viewpoint and watch life in the Valley far below and get a different view of El Capitan, Half Dome and all the falls.

Head up to the Tuolumne Meadows and enjoy the peace and birdsong and the wonderful view. Put your boots on and enjoy a hike of any length you choose.

Take some time out at Tenaya Lake. Enjoy the view, go for a swim or laze on the shore.

Go to Mariposa Grove and check out the giant sequoia trees – the Grizzly Giant and the California Tunnel Tree are both there.
