Spring is a great time of year to visit any of the southern states, when temperatures are a little less stifling than high summer.  Colorado has a great deal to offer visitors, known for it’s rugged landscape and opportunities for adventure.  Spring is a great time of year to take advantage of the wealth of national parks for hiking and mountain or trail biking, there are numerous opportunities for horse riding (this is cowboy country after all) or white water rafting and you can soothe the aching limbs in one of Colorado’s natural hot springs.

In the southwest corner of Colorado you’ll find Mesa Verde National Park, an amazing preservation of archaeological sites and well worth a visit.
